Older woman sharing a cup of tea and a chat

Cuppa

Friendly company for older people, over a cuppa and a chat.

Everyone deserves company

For an older person living alone, a visit can be the best part of the week. Someone to share a laugh with, hear the old stories and ask how they’re really going.

It isn’t about ticking a box or rushing in and out. And for families who live away, it isn’t about lying awake worrying.

We bring friendship and a cuppa, because we believe no one should ever feel forgotten.

A Cuppa visit might include

  • A cuppa and a good chat
  • A walk around the block or to the shops
  • Help writing cards, letters and emails
  • A game of cards, a puzzle or a favourite show together
  • A quick tidy while we’re there
  • A short update to family, if you’d like one

Cuppa is social company only. It doesn’t include personal or medical care.

Questions people ask

Can family book Cuppa for a parent?

Yes. Many visits are booked by sons, daughters and grandchildren who live away.

Will it be the same visitor?

Wherever we can. The point is building a real friendship.

Pairs well with

  • The Village: NDIS-funded cleaning from familiar faces who treat your home like it matters.
  • Dinner’s Done: Home-cooked meals made in your kitchen. You just sit down and eat.
  • Turndown: Come home to made beds, folded washing and a house that feels like a hotel.

Available across our service areas. Check if we come to you.
